Learn the foundations of professional academic English writing, especially for international peer-reviewed journals. This course will explain how to write English concisely and clearly for academic audiences.

Mr Luke Kenyon, ELS

Mr Luke Kenyon graduated with a BA (Hons) in English and Creative Writing from the University of Bolton in 2002. He moved to Japan in 2004, and spent 9 years teaching a wide range of focused English curricula to non-native speakers, awakening an interest in copy editing and the STM industry. Luke joined Edanz Group in 2013, where he applies his knowledge of the writing process, his love of language, and his attention to detail in his role as Quality Control Manager. Luke is a Board-certified Editor in the Life Sciences.

Dr Ruth Tunn, PhD

Ruth has a background in the biomedical sciences and is experienced in a wide range of molecular biology techniques. During her PhD, Ruth worked as a graduate teaching assistant and tutor for the preclinical medical degree program at the University of Oxford. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from Edge Hill University, specializing in mathematics.

Dr. Trevor Lane, PhD

Trevor, PhD Physiological Sciences, has been helping researchers to publish their results internationally for over 20 years. He has held postdoctoral research positions in clinical oncology and genetics. He was the managing editor of several medical journals in Asia and senior editor of two journals in the USA. He is a board member of COPE, the Committee of Publication Ethics.

Scott McCleary, M.Ed

Scott has developed and delivered training programs for more than 40 organizations worldwide in fields such as: medical, pharma, business, finance, big tech, K12, and higher education. He has lectured at a number of universities in Tokyo as well as the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
