- In this course we will learn how to assess your prospective manuscript. You need to estimate the importance of your findings and how much they contribute to your field.
- We will also look at effective journal selection strategies. You will learn the best stage in which to choose your journal, and how to check if your study matches a journal’s aims and scope.
- Finally, we consider whether the journal is right for you, the author. Does the journal have what you want in terms of publication speed or open access?
Dr McGowan, PhD Molecular Neuroscience, was an Associate Editor of Nature Reviews Neuroscience, and has more than ten years of post-doctoral and post-graduate laboratory experience in the areas of neurodegenerative diseases, molecular and cellular biology, protein biochemistry, proteomics and genomics.
Dr. Lane, PhD Physiological Sciences has been helping researchers to publish their results internationally for over 20 years. He has held postdoctoral research positions in clinical oncology and genetics. He was the managing editor of several medical journals in Asia and senior editor of two journals in the USA. He is a board member of COPE, the Committee of Publication Ethics.
Scott, M.Ed Technology, has developed and delivered training programs for more than 40 organizations worldwide in fields such as: medical, pharma, business, finance, big tech, and higher education. He has lectured at a number of universities in Tokyo as well as the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
